Addivox is available on GitHub, but Addivox is not open-source software. It is source-available under a custom license, which aims to let curious users and developers inspect, build and privately modify Addivox while I retain redistribution rights. The license does not restrict music, recordings or patches made with Addivox.
Plain-language summary of the license terms
You may:
- if you have purchased Addivox, install and use it on all devices that you personally own or control
- use Addivox, including your own private builds and modifications, to make music and other output, including commercial work
- create, share and sell patches for Addivox
- read, download and change the Addivox source code for your own use
- build Addivox for yourself
You may not:
- share the Addivox source code or builds with others
- let other people use your purchase, download access or copy of Addivox
- share modified versions of Addivox
- sell or redistribute Addivox itself
